During this incredible summer of sports, The Appointment Group (TAG) joined the festivities by hosting its annual Golf day.

Forget Bastille Day, the Tour de France, the amateurish tournament that kicked-off at Royal Troon; on the 14th July 2016 all eyes were on the events unfolding at the Centurion Golf Club in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

On the hottest day of July, 36 golfers spread over nine teams, prepared for the long day ahead. With a range of individual and team prizes up for grabs, all eyes were on the prize and the pressure palpable. After introductions and some coffee the teams, led by their captains, were getting ready to tee off.

The course excited and tested golfers in equal measure. Throughout the day players were challenged by 80 bunkers, four major water features, undulating greens and each other. Despite these obstacles team spirit, fun and camaraderie prevailed and lead to a successful day in a fantastic setting.

TAG would like to thank all involved, but extend a very special thanks to Virgin Atlantic proudly represented by Joanne Kernohan, as well as Kempinski Hotels represented by David Sparrow. Without our sponsors this day would not have been possible.

The culminating point of the day, the announcement of the lucky winners, took place after all participants had the opportunity to recuperate and enjoy a well-deserved lunch.

The individual prizes were won by Mike Wallwork (1st), winning a luxurious two night stay in Dubai including flights. Steve Whelan (2nd) won a two night stay in Venice including flights and David Brown (3rd) was the winner of two economy flights. We would like to thank TAG partners Virgin Atlantic and Kempinski Hotels for these fantastic prizes.

Team prizes were won by the Nashville team headed up by TAG COO Glen Duckworth, whilst the Sydney Team represented by TAG CEO John Gianquitto, came in close second. Team members were able to take home top golf equipment such as Golf bags and Callaway equipment.

Finally the two “nearest to the pin” competition were won by Bert Schorer and Mike Jenkins. Both were able to add to their golf club collection with another iron.

Congratulations to all!
