Hotel description

Hidden among the city’s iconic canals, Pulitzer Amsterdam is made up of 25 connecting canal houses dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. This place features a truly unique blend of upmarket, traditional and modern Dutch craftsmanship, which you’ll instantly fall in love with. The décor draws inspiration from the rich history of the Golden Age canal houses in which the hotel is housed, making it unmistakably Dutch – yet it has a contemporary edge.

A neighborhood in its own right, the hotel features 225 intimate guest rooms, tranquil inner gardens, a garden café, a hotel bar and an all-day dining restaurant serving simple yet beautifully crafted dishes.

Just beyond its doors lies the lively Nine Streets area, featuring trendy boutiques, restaurants and cafés. If you wish, the hotel’s concierges are on hand to cater to your every need. Understated Dutch service (with a dressed-down attitude) is a hallmark here – it seems to disappear when you want privacy and reappear in full glory the moment you require assistance.

Some of the city’s grandest event locations – including Ziggo Dome and the Amsterdam Arena – are just a 10 minute car ride away. And Amsterdam’s international airport, Schiphol, is reachable by car in 20 minutes.

Pulitzer Amsterdam features 225 unique guest rooms. The hotel’s designer, Jacu Strauss (former protégé of Tom Dixon), spent the night in every room to dream up an individual look for each one. Featuring an  eclectic mix of finishes, designs and elements which complement each room’s individual charm, this hotel is a design-lover’s dream. Each room or suite provides free wifi, a vintage telephone, Le Labo amenities, a custom-made minibar with cocktail mixing facilities and a bike repair set to complete the experience of the Dutch capital. Not to mention magnificent views.

When you are ready to wine and dine, you can take your pick from several options. Jansz is laid-back yet upscale all-day dining restaurant serving up carefully crafted modern classics with Dutch twist. Meanwhile, the Pulitzer hotel bar is a timeless classic – and Pause is the perfect spot for a light dish, killer coffee and a great glass of wine.
