The What

This position is for a full-time virtual or office-based travel specialist who possesses a solid
understanding of Domestic and International ticketing. A TAG24 Specialist is responsible for engaging inconsultative conversations with clients for the purpose of making accurate travel reservations and meeting client’s needs, maintaining and fostering a relationship between TAG and its clients. 

The successful applicant must have knowledge of ticketing and reissues, GDS experience, and
understand airfares. Position requires flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Here are just some of the things you’ll be getting involved with:

  • Fully service all inquiries, requests, bookings, and ticketing with the highest standards and quality documentation
  • Ensure all air, rail, hotel, and/or other ancillary reservations meet company and client expectations
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships, ensuring the highest standards are delivered at all times with a personalized and individual approach to each client
  • Action all required tasks related to clients and/or suppliers in a timely and effective manner to ensure correct information is readily available for continuity of service for all team members
  • Keep fully informed about all airline rules and regulations, and other industry requirements and accurately apply this information when making travel arrangements
  • Research and resolve en-route traveler service concerns as soon as possible
  • Utilize time management skills to efficiently organize and process workload during designated shift
  • Participate fully as a team member to assist as needed in completing all functions relating to servicing customers
  • Process complex reissues and pricing records accurately
  • Ensure deadlines, client policies, and SLA’s are met
  • Negotiate the best rates and deals from vendors to reduce client expenditures
  • Ensure PNR entries in GDS are correct and fully completed
  • Respond to all communications proactively, promptly, efficiently, and accurately
  • Consistently demonstrate attention to detail so that errors do not occur
  • Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all potential problems or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative courses of action which may be taken
  • Build professional relationships with key vendors relevant and always support preferred supplier programs
  • Attend company training sessions
  • Report, investigate and resolve errors or/and client complaints adhering to the highest standards of customer service
  • Ensure the company does not incur any financial losses through avoidable error
  • Perform other duties as assigned

We work flexibly to accommodate our TAG team colleagues, meaning on occasion there could be requirements ‘outside of office hours’ to manage time zones and other work commitments.  

As a TAG24 Specialist, there are several credentials and attributes which would be advantageous, but a determined attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.

  • 7 years of working knowledge and experience working within the Travel Industry or a 24-hour travel emergency department
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of airfares, contracted fares, ticketing, ticket exchanges, hotel reservations
  • 7 years of GDS experience, Galileo preferred
  • Experience handling VIP, entertainment clients, and/or group travel
  • Must be organized and have the ability to multitask
  • Must work well under pressure
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Exercise good judgment
  • Bachelor’s degree - in lieu of education, equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
  • 10 years of working knowledge and experience working within the Travel Industry or a 24-hour travel emergency department

The Where and When

This is a full-time role that can either be remote or based in our London or Manchester office. We have a strong management network, as well as other regional teams based across the UK, USA, and APAC.
