Brit Awards 2017 from David Bowie to Beyonce and Drake

The 37th Brit Awards were held at London’s O2 Arena on 22nd February with Emma Willis as the host, alongside Dermot O’Leary.

Drake, Beyoncé, A Tribe Called Quest, One Direction, Little Mix and The 1975 also were among the winners at the U.K. music industry’s flagship ceremony.

The British Icon David Bowie was also one of the big winners of the night. The star, who died last January, was posthumously awarded British Male and British Album.
The other lucky winners of the night were, Emeli Sandé, who collected British Female, and The 1975 who won British Group - their first-ever Brit Award. Rag N’ Bone Man won British Breakthrough Act, beating the likes of Stormzy and Blossoms, while Little Mix picked up Best Single for ‘Shout out to my ex’. Drake and Beyonce were the winners for Best International Male and Female awards, with A Tribe Called Quest winning International Group. Adele won the Global Success Award. Unable to attend the ceremony, the singer had prepared a ‘thank you’ video message instead.

The main performances included The 1975, Skepta, Emeli Sande, Ed Sheeran and Stormzy, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars and Little Mix. Coldplay and The Chainsmokers, as well as a moving tribute to George Michael performed by Chris Martin.

The show closed with a three-song set from Robbie Williams, the recipient of this year’s BRITs Icon award.
