St. Jerome's Laneway Festival - Singapore

On the 30th January 2015, the third edition of the St Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Singapore took place.

What started as a series of weekly shows at a Melbourne bar has evolved over 10 years into one of Australia’s most beloved festivals. The St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival has become an international signifier of essential music, the event continues to showcase its original set of values: championing community, fostering collaboration, encouraging self-expression and have fun.

2016 marked the return for the third time, it was still as popular as ever attracting well over 10,000 people. This year the festival featured a mix of Singaporean, Malaysian and international acts, without a doubt the strongest line-up to date including: Violent Soho, The 1975, Grimes, Hermitude, Flume and many more.

The Appointment Group (TAG) Singapore was very pleased to be involved in such an original yet successful festival that has been going from strength to strength. In addition to becoming one of the official sponsors, TAG Singapore took great pleasure in co-ordinating and organising the travel including flights, hotel & transfers, for all of the overseas media travelling to Singapore for the festival.

This was an important milestone for TAG Singapore as this was the first ever event we took part in, since the opening of the office in September last year. At The Appointment Group we strongly believe our expertise and service offering, paired with our sense of customer service, is unheard of in Singapore. Events like the Laneway Festival present a great opportunity to build relationships within the Asian music industry, expand our network and introduce the TAG brand.

Jodie Hobday, Operations manager of TAG Singapore, was on site and shared her impressions: “It is extremely exciting to be part of the brand new Singapore operation.  It is certainly a challenge to introduce the TAG brand which has such a great reputation in the UK, US and Australia to a new continent where we are fairly unknown. Taking part in events such as Laneway are incredibly important because we can let our work do the talking for us, whilst having the opportunity to network. On top of that, who does not like to go to a festival for work?”
