operations manager - Corporate Overview:
We are looking for a full-time (37.5 hours per week) Operations Manager who can support our growing Corporate Department. As the Operations Manager, you will have a diverse and varied role. You’ll collaborate with our global teams to support company initiatives and uncover innovative solutions, while taking a proactive approach to your day-to-day responsibilities.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Responsible for end-to-end people management, including recruitment, onboarding, performance and development planning, training, employee engagement, and maintaining HR records, while ensuring high work standards, service continuity, and appropriate reward recommendations.
Foster strong team relationships with clients and suppliers; support commercial agreements and attend relevant meetings, events, and site visits as needed
Ensure fair workload distribution and team effectiveness; support a positive team culture
Continuously seek improvements within the team and suggest wider process enhancements
Support Corporate Senior Management in implementing departmental strategy and goals
Lead by example, promoting professionalism and collaboration across departments
Oversee booking activity and ensure effective use of TAG systems
Escalate concerns to Director of Operations and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
Work to increase profit margins in assigned territory
Collaborate with Corporate Team Leads to optimise productivity and policy adherence
Ensure compliance with PCI regulations and manage key accounts when required
Qualifications:
5+ years of travel agency experience, including at least 2 years in management (5 years preferred)
Strong expertise in airfares, contracted fares, ticketing, reissues, and published fare structures
Proficient in GDS systems (Galileo preferred) with experience booking flights, hotels, and related services
Skilled in handling VIP clients and group travel logistics
Versatile and proactive leader with strengths in problem-solving, project management, compliance, and driving team performance
