Tour Specialist Overview:
We are looking for a full-time (40 hours per week) Tour Specialist who can support our growing touring department. As a Tour Specialist, you will have a diverse and varied role. You’ll collaborate with our global teams to support company initiatives and uncover innovative solutions, while taking a proactive approach to your day-to-day responsibilities.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Manage touring client travel needs by anticipating preferences, analyzing requests, and designing cost-effective, customized itineraries within budget and requirements
Oversee all bookings, ticketing, and documentation for air, rail, hotel, and ancillary services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and client standards
Resolve errors and client complaints promptly while preventing financial losses from avoidable mistakes
Negotiate favorable vendor rates to reduce client costs and maximize company profitability through revenue opportunities
Handle administrative and financial tasks, including client and Finance department queries, reconciliations, and accurate GDS PNR entries
Maintain strong client and supplier relationships to ensure account retention and deliver personalized, high-quality service
Support team continuity and service excellence by completing required tasks and additional duties efficiently and accurately
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience; minimum 2 years in a travel agency required
Strong knowledge of airfares, contracted fares, ticketing, reissues, and GDS systems (Galileo preferred); skilled in booking flights, hotels, and managing published fares
Experience with VIP, entertainment, and/or group travel preferred
