United Airlines introduces Boeing 777-300ER to additional routes

United Airlines announced additional Boeing 777-300ER service, the airline's newest aircraft type featuring the all-new United Polaris business class seats, to its flight schedules. With the schedule update over the weekend, the airline expects to begin 777-300ER service on the following routes*: San Francisco (SFO) – Beijing (PEK) beginning 6th September 2017 westbound (8th September 2017 eastbound) San Francisco (SFO) – Frankfurt (FRA)** beginning 5th October 2017 eastbound (6th October 2017 westbound) New York/Newark (EWR) to Tokyo Narita (NRT) beginning 28th October 2017 westbound (29th October 2017 eastbound) *Flight and aircraft schedules are subject to change.

Etihad Airways, Emirates, Turkish Airlines and Qatar Airways - All electronics devices allowed onboard US flights

If you are travelling with Etihad Airways or Emirates to the United States from Abu Dhabi International Airport and Dubai International Airport, you are now permitted to carry all electronic devices on board. Additionally, the US Immigration facility at Abu Dhabi Airport allows you to clear US immigration and customs formalities before you fly to the US, instead of after landing.

Qatar Airways accelerates its global expansion with the launch of Prague and Sohar

Qatar Airways confirmed the expedited launch of two new destinations by the end of August 2017, with several more announcements to follow shortly. Joining Qatar Airways’ global network, which spans six continents, are: Sohar, Sultanate of Oman, which will launch on 8th August; and Prague, Czech Republic, which will launch on 21st August.

Japan Airlines introduces new JAL SKY SUITE configured Boeing 787-9

Japan Airlines (JAL) has been introducing the JAL SKY SUITE configured Boeing 777-300ER/-200ER, Boeing 767-300ER, and Boeing 787-8/-9 onto select international routes under the theme of “raising the notches one class above in all cabin services. ” JAL announced that the JAL SKY SUITE 787 family will welcome a new cabin configuration for its Boeing 787-9.

China Airlines offering nonstop flights to London from December

China Airlines announced that it will begin flying the Taipei-London (Gatwick Airport, LGW) route on December 1st. The new A350 fleet will be deployed to offer 4 flights a week, making China Airlines the only airline in Taiwan to offer non-stop flights to London.
