The Suites: The sixteen suites are all situated in the gardens surrounding the main house. Decorated in earthy colours, with hand crafted artefacts scattered throughout, all feature king size beds (or twin if you prefer), a well stocked mini bar and a hi-fi. Sit out on your private wooden deck listening to the sounds of a garden humming with life, enveloped in the warmth of the African sun

Family Suites: There are three double storey suites suitable for families with children aged 12 or under sharing with their parents. Children are accommodated downstairs on a double sleeper couch and an ottoman, slightly shorter than a single bed but wider. The hotel organises baby-sitting, special turndowns each evening with a glass of fresh milk, a Gingerbread man, children’s stories and a whole box of toys and other interesting things. They also have buckets and spades and body boards for those lazy family days at the beach. There is a communal TV in the Far Lounge at Hog Hollow, but none in the rooms and no fireplaces in the double storey suites!

Main Villa: The 3 bedroom, double storey, Main Villa at Hog Hollow is about 400m from the main lodge and still on the hotel’s private nature reserve, with extraordinary views over the valley and Tsitsikamma Mountains. The house opens up on an infinity pool and wooden decks giving it an airy and light feel. The lounge (45m2) is spacious and sunny: comfortable leather furniture, drinks cabinet, music system, satellite TV and DVD player, fireplace and wooden deck area with magnificent views over the valley, forests and mountains
