Luxury Hotel Spotlight: The Line Hotel

The Line Hotel is a new hotel collaboration by the Sydell  Group (The Nomad Hotel New York, Freehand Miami) with Roy Choi, the Houston Brothers, Sean Knibb, and Poketo. The mid-century building, originally built in 1964, has been transformed into a 383 room hotel that draws inspiration from the distinct LA culture of its surrounding neighbourhood.

Rooms

The King Bedded room is unique in its own way and offers an amazing view of Los Angeles without leaving the comfort of your room. The room, designed by Sean Knibb, has a luxurious king-sized bed with custom plush top mattresses and starts at 300 square feet. You would have free, super-fast Wi-Fi and floor to ceiling windows and views in this room. There is an extra large custom desk made of bleached ash wood and seating area with Negril chairs by Knibb. The bathroom has Baxter of California bath products, and plush luxury bathrobes. There is a fully stocked minibar with a curated selection of American & Korean drinks and snacks. The room has original and unique artwork and photography by Claire Oswalt, Kevin Hanley and Acme Gallery.

There is a Soundfreaq docking station and media hub with a charger, radio and alarm clock all in one place. As far as other technology in the room goes, there is also a large flat screen LCD HD television with the ability to stream personal content.

Dining

The Line Hotel has some amazing dining options including the restaurant POT, the POT Lobby Bar, the café, The Commissary, and some great delivery options.

We would like to highlight The Commissary as a beautiful and unique dining option. The Commissary is actually a greenhouse with a focus on fruits and vegetables. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner from 7am to 11pm. You can make a reservation at EATATPOT.COM

The Commissary is not necessarily a vegetarian restaurant, just good food and drink based around plants as the foundation. It is also an homage to all the people and families here in Southern California that work on farms to bring food to our tables. Set beside a shimmering pool, its got all the amenities of a private club but created for the public. Come sunbathe in carrot juice, mack on a salad, or grab some eggs and toast. Commissary is your own little oasis where you can feel right at home and chill.
