Air New Zealand to 'Pause' Chicago Service

From 31 March to 25 October, Air New Zealand will pause its Auckland-Chicago service because of ongoing challenges with the availability of serviceable Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines. These engines are used on Air New Zealand's Boeing 787 aircraft. 

Qantas Names New Global Sales & Distribution Manager

Kathryn Robertson has been appointed to the role of Executive Manager - Global Sales & Distribution. She will oversee the airline's combined Domestic and International Sales Team and work closely with the Regional General Managers in overseas markets. 

Emirates Unveils Refurbished Hong Kong Lounge

Emirates has unveiled its latest revamped airport lounge, located next to gate 40 on level 7 of Hong Kong International Airport. The facility now offers an expanded seating capacity for 132 guests, shower facilities, free Wi-Fi, a prayer room and a buffet of dining services. 

Scoot Unveils New E190-E2 Destinations 

Singapore Airlines' low-cost carrier, Scoot, has unveiled the first six routes for its new Embraer E190-E2 fleet. Scoot will deploy two new routes—Koh Samui and Sibu—as well as existing destinations in Malaysia and Thailand. 

Thai Airways to Resume Second Daily Sydney Rotation

Thai Airways has confirmed it will relaunch a second daily service from its Bangkok hub to Sydney starting 31 March. The Star Alliance member will deploy its latest-technology Airbus 350-900 aircraft on both daily rotations.

Air Canada Add Seoul-Montreal Nonstop Service

Commencing 18 June, Air Canada will operate Incheon-Montreal four times a week with three class Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Starting on 14 May, the airline will also increase its frequency on Hong Kong-Vancouver up to 11 weekly services.

Air France to Match Customers' SAF Contributions This Summer



The French carrier said it will match each individual purchase of its "Environment Option," which allows travellers to contribute to the airline's SAF investment fund when booking flights.
