The Appointment Group launches new image, marking a new era for the company

The Appointment Group, the award-winning travel and event management company, announces a bold, new and modernised image, more reflective of the company’s values.

First established in 1988, TAG has become one of the world’s leading travel and event management companies, with nine global offices located in the UK, US and Asia Pacific.  To mark its 30th anniversary in business, the company has listened to its people, customers and partners around the globe who brought the name ‘TAG’ to life over the years. As a response and to celebrate this new chapter in its history, the company is adopting and reinforcing its name as TAG across the business.

The new identity reveals TAG’s new logo, strapline and website, reinforcing the company’s positioning as pioneers in their field, as well as their continuous evolution, modernisation and vision for the future.

The new image is designed to clearly communicate the company’s overarching promise as a high-end, service-driven travel and event management company, committed to meeting the needs of a diverse marketplace. The new tagline, ‘Experience More’ identifies and illustrates “experiences” as the common factor that connects all five divisions of the group - Corporate, Touring, Events, Private Travel and Film and Media.  Furthermore, the peak of the ‘A’ in ‘TAG’ in the new logo symbolises TAG as a pioneer on top of the mountain, whilst the line at the bottom of the ‘A’ represents all the different divisions which are marked by their divisional colours.

The complex project was a collaborative effort between employees, customers and valued partners. Their feedback was taken into consideration from the outset to ensure all areas were addressed.

Steve Barrass, Chief Executive Officer, TAG said: “This rebrand is an important milestone in TAG’s history.  It is a necessary step ensuring TAG retains its established values, beliefs and enviable reputation whilst developing a new and modern identity, which is essential in such a rapidly evolving and busy industry.”

John Gianquitto, Founder and President, TAG added: “During these 30 years in business we always strived for quality service by staying ahead of the curve and supporting success.  It has been imperative for TAG to always be in the forefront and to constantly keep modernising.  Ultimately, we want to have a brand that represents not only what TAG is about, but also that both our staff and clients can identify with and be proud of.”

A bright future ahead

The new image follows recent investment from private equity firm Apiary Capital and the announcement of the new board of directors, with the recent appointment of non-executive Chairman Terry Williamson and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Steve Barrass joining Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Nick Stone and TAG’s Founder and President, John Gianquitto.
During the summer of 2018, TAG acquired SOS - Satellite Office Services in the US. This acquisition consolidates the group’s travel management capabilities for touring production and steel crew parties. In October, TAG’s Manchester team expanded and moved into a larger office in the city’s financial district.
Building on the success of 2018, TAG has big plans for 2019. The goal is to accelerate growth through investment in smarter technology, talent development and expansion into new global markets. In doing so, TAG is committed to maintaining the group’s industry-leading reputation for unrivalled levels of customer service, which everyone has come to expect from TAG over the years.
