China Airlines offering nonstop flights to London from December

China Airlines announced that it will begin flying the Taipei-London (Gatwick Airport, LGW) route on December 1st. The new A350 fleet will be deployed to offer 4 flights a week, making China Airlines the only airline in Taiwan to offer non-stop flights to London.

The Taipei-London route CI069/CI070 will depart every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. It will be flown by the latest A350-900 XWB aircraft equipped with 32 Premium Business Class, 31 Premium Economy Class and 243 Economy Class seats.

From December, travelers who opt to fly direct with China Airlines can save 3 to 7 hours on transit or stop-over time. This brings Taiwan and the U.K. much closer together and is more convenient for travelers; to take advantage of the Open Sky agreement with Australia and strengthen the Oceania network, from December 1st the Taipei-Sydney route will increase to two daily services and Taipei-Brisbane-Auckland will be upgraded to one service each day.
