Emirates to introduce additional flights to Stockholm

Emirates announced that it will introduce three additional flights per week to the Swedish capital, complementing Emirates’ existing schedule and providing more choice to travellers from 8th December 2017.

The three new weekly flights will enhance Sweden’s global long-haul connectivity, offering passengers travelling from Stockholm the chance to reach over 70 Emirates destinations in Asia, Australasia, Africa and the Middle East.

The new Emirates flight EK155 will commence from 8th December, departing Dubai at 15:00, arriving in Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) at 18:45. The return flight EK156 will depart ARN at 21:10 arriving at Dubai International Airport at 06:30 the following day.

The timing of the three additional flights provides easier connections between Stockholm and a number of popular East Asian and African destinations. Travellers can now seamlessly connect, with a short transit through Emirates’ world-class Dubai hub, with popular destinations such as Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, Colombo in Sri Lanka, Manila in the Philippines and Cape Town and Durban in South Africa. Passengers can now also connect to Emirates’ direct flight to Auckland in New Zealand with travel times to Indian Ocean destinations including Mauritius, the Maldives (Male) and the Seychelles (Mahé) also benefitting from the improved flight connectivity.

Operated by Emirates’ popular Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in a three-class configuration, the new flights, like the current scheduled daily flight, will offer eight Private Suites in First Class, featuring automated sliding doors for privacy and personal mini-bar; 42 lie-flat seats in Business and 310 spacious seats in Economy.

Passengers travelling in First and Business Class also enjoy Premium Lounge access at Stockholm Arlanda airport as well as Emirates’ complimentary Chauffeur drive service providing transport to and from the airport within a 60km radius.

As with all Emirates flights, passengers travelling on the three additional weekly Stockholm flights will be able to take advantage of the generous baggage allowance of up to 35kg in Economy, 40kg in Business and 50kg in First Class.

On board, passengers can discover ice Digital Widescreen, offering over 2,500 channels of on-demand audio and visual entertainment including the latest movies, TV shows, music, audio books and games. Customers can enjoy the famous on-board hospitality from Emirates’ multi-national cabin crew, as well as gourmet regionally inspired dishes with complimentary beverages.

The current existing daily flight schedule: EK157 departs Dubai at 08:10 arriving at ARN at 11:55, the return flight EK158 departs ARN at 13:35, landing back in Dubai at 22:55.
