TAG and Delta Air Lines launch exclusive carbon offset partnership

TAG, the award-winning travel and event management company, has announced an exclusive partnership with Delta Air Lines, to enable clients the chance to carbon offset their travel. 

In a unique partnership, TAG is the first TMC to join Delta’s commitment to responsible travel, reducing the carbon footprint of all its passengers. 

Carbon offsetting works by funding projects that reduce carbon emissions and support communities. To offset the flights booked with TAG, Delta will pay a small amount to carbon reduction projects, in order to reduce emissions equivalent to those generated on all flights booked with TAG UK until 30th November 2019, with travel until 31st December 2019.

About Delta's sustainability strategy 

Delta’s Sustainability drives accountability and evaluates areas of opportunity across the business to lower its environmental impact. Since 2005, the airline has reduced its jet fuel consumption, leading to an 11 percent decrease in emissions as Delta works toward its long-term goal of reducing emissions by 50 percent by 2050. Most recently, Delta invested $2 million in a feasibility study of a biofuel production facility and flew its first of 20 carbon-neutral delivery flights using biofuels and carbon offsets this summer. Delta has capped its carbon emissions at 2012 levels by purchasing offsets and also removed a variety of single-use plastic items onboard, from amenity kits and from Delta Sky Clubs.

1. Basic Economy fares excluded
2. Pure DL US Domestic excluded
3. Must be purchased through TAG UK offices only
4. Delta codeshares excluded 
5. Refunded tickets after close of incentive will not count
