United Airlines offers customers two free checked bags on travel to/from China and Hong Kong

United Airlines eliminated charges for customers' second checked bag on all routes from North America to China and Hong Kong. Currently, customers traveling from China/Hong Kong to the United States already receive two free checked bags. Fees for oversized and overweight bags will continue to apply.

To celebrate the newly added benefits and the upcoming "Year of the Dog" of Chinese New Year, United is also offering great low fares to China and Hong Kong for those who wish to see China or visit their families and friends. These fares for outbound travel from the U.S. are valid between January 9 and February 16, 2018, and between April 2 and June 10, 2018.

United is the leading U.S. carrier to fly to China and Asia, operating more non-stop flights to more cities in China than any other U.S. carrier, with a total of 89 weekly flights and four Chinese destinations served, including Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Hong Kong.
