Report: Global Business Travel Prices “Seem to Be Levelling Off” 

According to the latest forecasts by CWT and the Global Business Travel Association, the business travel industry “could now be looking at the true new cost of travel.”

The 2024 Global Business Travel Forecast states that “more subdued price increases” are expected over the next 12-18 months—following “skyrocketing” prices last year that were driven by pent-up leisure travel demand, rising fuel prices, labour shortages and supply chain challenges.

Accor has opened the latest property under its Pullman Hotels and Resorts brand, as part of a new $110 million development in Sydney’s western suburb of Penrith. 

The building—which also houses the new Western Sydney Conference Centre—features a ribbon-like shape inspired by the nearby Nepean River, and is set among landscaping with more than 75 trees and 8,000 plants.

From 1 December, Cathay Pacific will increase its services to Brisbane from four flights per week to six per week. The oneworld airline also will upgrade the route to the higher-capacity Boeing 777-300ER from the Airbus A350.
