Hyatt to Open Park Hyatt Sapporo in Hokkaido

Hyatt will open a new Park Hyatt in Sapporo, the economic and cultural center of the Hokkaido Prefecture in northern Japan. Scheduled to open in 2029, the hotel will be the fourth Park Hyatt-branded hotel in the country and will complement Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono, a luxury mountain retreat location in Hokkaido's leading ski resort. 

Accor Pacific Signs Renewals for More Than 40 Hotels in Australia

Accor Pacific announced that it recently renewed partnership agreements with more than 40 hotels throughout Australia, making up 5,500 keys of the country's available accommodations. Accor Pacific partners' investments in the sector are also now at $450 million in terms of hotel renovations and refurbishments since early 2022. 

Malaysia Airlines Cutting Schedule Through December 

Kuala Lumpur-based oneworld carrier Malaysia Airlines is significantly curtailing its operations from now through the end of December 2024 because it doesn't have enough aircraft to meet its previous schedule obligations. The airline is primarily assigning blame to Boeing after the US aircraft manufacturer failed to deliver several 737 Max 8 aircraft to Malaysia Airlines over recent months, leaving it with just four 737 Max aircraft at the moment.
