Delta Begins Rollout of Free Wi-Fi to International Routes
Delta has begun the next stage of the rollout of free inflight Wi-Fi in partnership with T-Mobile. The carrier first announced plans to offer free Wi-Fi to all passengers in January 2023, and has so far installed the service on more than 90 per cent of its domestic mainline fleet.
In May, the carrier unveiled a major upgrade to its mobile app, which will soon allow customers to log on to the inflight Delta Sync Wi-Fi service directly through the app.

EU Confirms Long-Awaited Launch Date for Entry-Exit System
The EU's much-delayed Entry-Exit System (EES) will finally be launched on 10 November, according to EU Commissioner Ylva Johansson. EES is a biometric system which will use digital photographs and fingerprints for registering travellers from non-EU countries, including the UK, when they cross the EU's external border. It will apply to both short-stay visa holders and visa-exempt travellers.

UK Government Approves London City Capacity Increase
London City Airport has won its battle to be allowed to increase its capacity from 6.5 million to 9 million passengers per year. The UK government will allow the East London airport to add three additional early morning flights during weekdays, but the airport's application to extend its operating hours on Saturdays has been rejected.

Qatar Airways to Increase Capacity From London Heathrow
Qatar Airways is to increase its flights from London Heathrow to eight per day, from the start of the winter schedule. The Doha-based airline will add the extra daily service from Heathrow on 27 October, which will take its total flights from the UK capital from 49 to 56 per week. Joint business partner British Airways also flies twice daily between Heathrow and Doha.
