Delta to Debut Premium Lounge Concept at JFK, Los Angeles and Boston This Year

Delta has outlined plans for several new and expanded lounges in 2024, including the much-anticipated debut of its new "premium lounge" concept. The carrier said that access guidelines for the lounges "are still being finalised."

Cathay Pacific to Resume Singapore-Bangkok

Starting 31 March, Hong Kong's Cathay Pacific will once again resume its daily flights between Singapore and Bangkok. In addition to this fifth freedom service, Cathay Pacific currently operates up to eight flights a day from Singapore to Hong Kong.

Singapore Airlines' Heathrow T2 Lounge Closed for Refurbishment

Singapore Airlines is refurbishing its SilverKris Lounge at Heathrow Terminal 2. The £3.5 million project includes increasing seating space by 16%—the lounge will take on elements of the carrier's refreshed facilities at Singapore Changi Airport. A reopening is scheduled for “later in the summer."

Hyatt Outlines Plans for More Than 60 New Chinese Properties

Hyatt has announced a new strategic cooperation agreement to develop more than 60 Chinese properties over the coming decade, with the first expected to be a Hyatt Place hotel in Hangzhou.

KLM Uses AI to Reduce Food Waste


AI technology is being employed to help determine the number of meals that need to be loaded for any particular flight, based on the fact that not everyone who has booked actually ends up flying. KLM said the system, "Means the most accurate possible number of passengers is predicted for the entire catering process from purchasing to loading, thus preventing a surplus of meals."
