Partner Spotlight: Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street

China Airlines Grows A350 Fleet 

China Airlines, the Taiwan-based SkyTeam carrier, will add two additional Airbus A350-900 long-haul aircraft to its fleet.

The first aircraft is slated for delivery in the fourth quarter and will enter service in early 2024. Negotiations for the second A350 continue.

Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore Celebrates 90th Anniversary of the Clifford Pier 

Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore is celebrating the 90th anniversary of the city-state’s historic Clifford Pier landmark this month. The former landing point was built in 1933 and named after Sir Hugh Charles Clifford, Governor of the Straits Settlements. 

It now serves as an events space for the hotel, and in tribute to the red lanterns - which once illuminated the pier for approaching boats - Fullerton has reinstated the iconic red glass on the pier’s shoreward-facing lamps.

Nobu to Open Bangkok & New York Hotels Under Plaza Athenee Brand 

Nobu Hospitality has signed an agreement with Thai real estate group Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC) to open hotels in Bangkok and New York. 

The deal will see the former Hotel Plaza Athenee New York – which closed during the COVID-19 pandemic – reopen in 2026 as the Plaza Athenee Nobu Hotel and Spa New York.

Qantas Confirms More Fuel-Efficient A220s 

Australia’s Qantas Group has finalised an incremental order for nine Airbus A220-300 domestic and short-haul regional aircraft, bringing its total backlog for the type to 29 aircraft. 

The A220 was originally selected by Qantas as part of a major fleet replacement programme announced in May 2022, which also included orders for the A321XLR and A350-1000.
