Collaborative Excellence Worthy of a Medal
With many things in life, the relationships you hold can change everything—even when it comes to catching your flight to compete in the Olympics. At TAG, we commit to relationships with airline, transport and hotel suppliers based off the values we share—prioritizing clients, delivering high-touch service, adapting to unforeseen circumstances and working together to uncover solutions.
On July 24th at 10:42 a.m.—just as tens of thousands flocked to San Diego for a weekend at Comic-Con International and hundreds of others geared up for the 2024 Olympics—TAG's Director of Commercial Justine Liddelow received a call from overseas in Paris; Delta Airlines urgently needed our help getting four Olympians from San Diego to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) via ground transport to catch their flights to Paris.
With very limited access to ground transport amidst Comic-Con, finding even two vehicles seemed to be an impossible feat. A new Delta representative was eager to make magic happen for her clients, so she leaned on TAG to leverage our long-standing, trusted relationship with dedicated transportation provider, EmpireCLS. Immediately jumping into action, Liddelow made a direct call to TAG's contact at EmpireCLS—and by 11:02 a.m., they were able to miraculously shift vehicles around. After prioritizing our challenging request, EmpireCLS made two cars available, and all four athletes were successfully booked for departure to LAX.
When you work in the travel industry, a lot can happen in 20 minutes. Obstacles are inevitable and oftentimes who you know can be everything when it comes to finding solutions. Succeeding in delivering high-touch service requires prioritizing relationships that have your back.
