Lufthansa - There are now five stars more in the sky!

Lufthansa has been awarded the coveted ‘5-Star’ certificate by Skytrax and is one of the world’s 10 best airlines!

For Lufthansa, this renowned award is a delight, but also an incentive to do everything it can in future to live up to the high expectations that travellers should have of a premium airline.
And to continue setting new standards, Lufthansa is constantly developing its services and offers – for example with innovative seating concepts tailored to passengers’ requirements in all travel classes.

Passengers who fly Lufthansa First Class know they can expect perfect 5-star service from booking to landing.

FIRST CLASS

Passengers who fly Lufthansa First Class know they can expect perfect 5-star service from booking to landing.

An oasis of relaxation – that’s Lufthansa First Class in a nutshell. Not just because the cabins have special soundproofing to minimize sound, or because the luxurious seats fold out into a comfortable bed and the screens are equipped with advanced hardware and software. At Lufthansa, 5-star comfort also means that each passenger enjoys individual service and assistance from the moment they arrive at the airport. In Frankfurt, a limousine service welcomes passengers at the dedicated First Class Terminal. Personal assistants are on hand to get passengers swiftly through all security checks, and passengers are entitled to use the exclusive Lufthansa Lounges all around the world. This unique level of service is embodied in the iconic red rose each guest receives to welcome them on board.

Limousines take passengers straight to the aircraft, as determined by its parking position.

8 SEATS is the maximum number in First Class to ensure complete privacy and ample legroom.

Heavenly peace: folded down, the current seat ensures supreme relaxation by providing additional support for the shoulders and allowing the hardness of the air-cushioned padding to be individually adjusted.

BUSINESS CLASS

Lufthansa’s new Business Class now features flying beds – to ensure passengers arrive perfectly rested at their destination

Preferential check-in and priority boarding: These are some of the benefits that make travelling in Business Class a pleasure from the word go. And Lufthansa is continually working to improve its products and services: The introduction of the Boeing 777-9X will see the launch of a brand new Business Class that is even more comfortable. All seats will have direct aisle access and can be folded out into a comfortable, ergonomic bed. To make the night even more restful, starting from spring 2018, passengers on long-haul flights will get pajamas for the night. Business Class passengers receive their menus before takeoff and the meals they select are served on beautifully laid tables. When the dessert is served or a wine glass topped up is entirely up to the passenger.

It’s the little details that count: Passengers in Premium Economy receive an amenity kit with towelettes, a toothbrush and eye mask. Lufthansa has also designed a special kit for children.

Happy anticipation: Premium Economy passengers can relax and dream of their travel destination – and receive an accessory set containing refreshing tissues, a toothbrush and sleep mask.

PREMIUM ECONOMY

A new generation of the cabin class with extra comfort is about to launch – making long-haul travel even better

Lots of personal space, large screens, china tableware – Premium Economy offers details that make all the difference. Passengers who want that little bit more comfort can book this most recently introduced travel class on all long-haul Lufthansa flights. The new class is being continually refined and a new concept is currently in the works. The central element of the new comfort drive is the seat, which already offers passengers up to 50 percent more space than in Economy Class – as well as a more generous and restful angle of inclination. The new generation will be even more comfortable and offer more privacy. The integrated screens will be bigger, enhancing the pleasure of the in-flight entertainment, and passengers also have more space to work on a laptop.

All passengers are welcomed with a drink and a bottle of water at their seat

BAGS weighing up to 23 kg – Premium Economy passengers have a greater baggage allowance

Digital fun for youngsters: Lufthansa’s apps for kids, like “Take-off! The Fun-packed Journey” and the action game “Super JetFriends,” are informative, exciting and easy to navigate.

ECONOMY

Lufthansa is a firm believer in never resting on one’s laurels, which is why the airline is refitting and updating its Economy Class cabins for an even better flying experience.

Whether it’s First Class or Economy Class: Lufthansa is constantly working to improve comfort in all travel classes. Lufthansa has already picked a new seat design as part of a campaign to enhance comfort across the entire fleet. The new seat also incorporates suggestions made by passengers and test fliers, a procedure used when designing the Economy cabin for the wide-body jet Boeing 747-8, which features vastly improved seats. The new seats are more contoured, the seat pocket with Lufthansa Magazin has been moved up to head height; there is more legroom and the seat rests have a better ergonomic shape. Also, power sockets were added and there is more storage space for hand luggage, giving the whole cabin a wider and more open appearance.
