Explore the upcoming highlights in Basel for 2018:

From the 9^th to 14^th January, the “Ballet Revolucion” Ensemble come to Basel’s Musical Theater. Exuberant energy, daring leaps and sensuous transitions between ballet and street dance meet the irresistible live sound of international club hits, pop, R&B, hip hop and fiery Latin American rhythms. Also in January, at the 11^th and 12^th, the world famous Elvis musical is bringing the musical variety of the ‘King of Rock’n’Roll’ in a two-hour live show back on stage again. The show is taking place at the Congress Center, located right next to the Swissôtel Basel. In February, Basel is full of music, confetti and happy faces because of the Basler Fasnacht, which now has been named Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (UNESCO). Enjoy the “Drümmeli” (drum music) from the 3^rd to 9^th as well as the biggest carnival in Switzerland from the 19^th to 21^st. For Art enthusiast and bad weather days, Basel offers more than 40 museums to explore, including of course the world renowned Kunstmuseum with its famous new building and the Fondation Beyeler with the exhibition of Paul Klee in January and Georg Baselitz in February. Planning a concert in Basel?

The St. Jakobspark can hold up to 7000 people and is located 10 minutes by car from the Swissôtel Basel. For concert visitors the Swissôtel is ideal as a direct tram takes you to the concert in only 20 minutes. An additional concert location is “Z7” in Pratteln, 30 minutes driving from the Swissôtel. Holding around 1.600 spectators, Z7 has achieved a reputation for small exclusive concerts, special events and shows of musician or comedians. Here you can also take tram 14 to Pratteln and get there directly.
