United Cancels Auckland, Brisbane Flights From Los Angeles In the upcoming northern winter schedule from late 2024, United Airlines no longer plans to operate its seasonal routes from Los Angeles to both Auckland (AK) and Brisbane (BNE). However, United will continue to serve both out of its San Francisco (SFO) hub.
Air France to Introduce Concierge Service at Paris CDG The French carrier said a 'range of tailor-made services' will be provided in either French or English to customers with bookings for flights operated by Air France, or any of its codeshare partners. The service comes with a tiered pricing structure, depending on the number of travellers, and can also be paid for using miles.
Mandarin Oriental to Open First Rome Property The 108-room Mandarin Oriental, Rome will be housed within ten 19th-century villas between Via Piemonte and Via Sallustiana, and within The Gardens of Sallust. There will be six restaurants and bars, and the Mandarin Bar on the rooftop.
Dutch Government to Cut Night Flights at Schiphol & Ban Loud Aircraft Dutch Infrastructure Minister Mark Harbers proposed a revised package of measures to reduce noise pollution at the Netherlands hub. The plan included limiting the number of night flights from 32,000 to 27,000 in 2025, and banning the loudest aircraft from operating between 23:00 and 7:00.
JetBlue Launches Daily New York-Edinburgh Service The seasonal summer service between New York and Edinburgh will run through 30 September. It is operated on an Airbus A321neo aircraft that feature 16 'Mint Seats' and 144 economy seats.

Little to No Ethanol Will Qualify for US Aviation Fuel Credit

Little to no ethanol will qualify for U.S. sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) subsidies under a new pilot program by President Joe Biden's administration, which toughened climate requirements at the last minute.
