Delta Air Lines to Expand Sync Seatback Screens

Delta Air Lines will expand the availability of its in-flight seatback information system, announced in January 2023 as part of the Delta Sync programme. The expansion impacts three additional fleet types—the Airbus A319 and A320, as well as the Boeing 737-800—and will be in effect by the end of summer 2024.

Strikes Set to Cause Major Travel Disruption in Germany

Transport services in Germany are set to face major disruption as Lufthansa and Deutsche Bahn staff are due to go on strike the same days. Both Verdi, the union which represents Lufthansa’s ground staff, and train drivers’ union GDL have called for their members to walk out on Thursday and Friday, 7-8 March, in separate long-running pay disputes with the two transport companies. Lufthansa warned Verdi’s latest strike would lead to “extensive effects” on its flights from 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, 6 March until 7:10 A.M. on Saturday, 9 March.

British Airways Unveils New Seats, Routes & Digital Offerings

British Airways revealed multiple facets of its £7 billion transformation plan at a showcase event in London, including new seats, routes and digital products. The airline is planning more than 600 initiatives as it invests "in every part of its business" with new short-haul seats, free onboard messaging, and a new website and app, among developments announced. ​​​​

Delta & LATAM to Launch Route Between Santiago & Orlando

Launching 16 June and operating until 28 September 2024, this seasonal route will have two weekly frequencies between the Chilean capital and one of Florida’s most popular, family-friendly destinations.

Trainline Launches Campaign to Encourage UK Rail Travel


Rail ticketing specialist Trainline has launched a new initiative to encourage more UK travellers to use trains to help meet the country's net zero goals. The company said that a 30% increase in rail travel was needed in the UK by 2035 to help reach the 2050 net zero targets set by the UK Climate Change Committee.
