Singapore to Sydney With Qantas & Finnair

From 29 October 2023, select services between Singapore and Sydney—flights QF291 and QF292—will be operated by Qantas oneworld partner, Finnair. These services will be operated on behalf of Qantas by Finnair, with Finnair crew and pilots, but customers will experience the same world-class Qantas service at every step of their journey.

Qantas Says Bonjour With Direct Flights Between Perth & Paris

From 12 July 2024, Qantas will launch direct flights between Perth and Paris, just in time for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games and European summer. The 17-hour, Perth-Paris flights will initially operate four days per week during the peak European summer with their Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Services will then move to three per week from mid-August 2024.

Virgin Atlantic Secures UK Permit for SAF Transatlantic Flight

The UK’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has given permission for Virgin Atlantic to operate the first transatlantic flight using 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

The landmark flight, partly funded by the UK government, is set to operate from London Heathrow to New York's JFK airport on 28 November. This will test the feasibility of flying entirely on the sustainable fuel, which can reduce emissions by up to 80%,  compared with traditional jet fuel.
