Etihad Airways new baggage policy

Etihad Airways are introducing a new checked baggage policy effective from 31st January 2018.

Etihad's new global baggage policy will be based on the total weight of checked baggage, rather than the numbers of pieces. The USA & Canada baggage policy will continue to be based on number of pieces.

The new baggage allowances:

Cabin & Fare Choice Allowances
Economy Deal fare (E,T) 23kg baggage
Economy Saver fare (U,V) 30kg baggage
Economy Classic fare (K,M,Q,L) 30kg baggage
Economy Flex fare (Y,B,H) 35kg baggage
Business Class fare (J,C,D,W,Z) 40kg baggage
First Class fares (F,R,A) 50kg baggage

Allowances may vary per market and full information can be found in the attached baggage information chart. Full baggage allowance information will be available on etihad.com for guests from 31st January 2018.

Tickets issued before 30 January will have the baggage allowance as per the current policy. Fully unutilized tickets exchanged after 31 January will fall under the new policy. Partially used tickets exchanged after 31 January will have the baggage allowance as per the current policy.
