TAG Launches New Asian Touring Sector

Diversifying Our Offerings to Service a Broader Client Base

TAG announced the launch of a new touring sector dedicated to supporting and managing the travel logistics for the many diverse artists of Asian heritage.

Over the past decade, the popularity of the various types of Asian touring—including Korean pop (K-pop), Chinese pop (C-pop), and Japanese pop (J-pop)— has swept the globe. According to Billboard, “In 2023 alone, 35 different K-pop albums entered the Billboard 200, and five took the No. 1 spot.” In addition, the most recognizable names from each of the genres have performed record-breaking tours across the globe.

Renowned for overseeing countless notable tours across the planet, TAG manages comprehensive touring travel logistics and offers end-to-end global solutions. With the massive global influence of K-pop, C-pop and J-pop over the past several years, our decision to launch a sector solely focused on artists of Asian heritage and their tours came naturally—as our company strategically focuses on worldwide expansion and growth.

“It’s incredible to see the impact that artists of Asian heritage have been leaving across the globe,” said Byron Carr, TAG’s Group Touring Director. “Since 2018, we have been offering exclusive travel management services to artists within the scope of Asian touring, specifically the K-pop genre. Due to the intricate, distinct requirements for K-pop, C-pop and J-pop artists, our team of dedicated Travel Specialists proudly, expertly and deliberately provide them with hands-on travel logistics from 19 locations across the globe.”

The launch of TAG’s new touring sector will globally service clients. While TAG will support all genres within Asian touring, we will continue to put our initial focus on the expansive world of K-pop travel management. With Korean-speaking Travel Specialists in place, Carr will lead the specialist team and take on the challenge of growing TAG’s Asian touring business.

Carr concluded, “With the addition of this highly specialized sector, our goal is to diversify TAG’s offerings to meet the individual needs of a broader client base. TAG’s bilingual team of travel experts will effectively communicate and understand the in-depth needs of these artists and their crews; we are confident in our team’s ability to proactively manage the ins-and-outs of their travel, while meticulously ensuring that all nuanced preferences are met. I look forward to extending TAG’s one-of-a-kind services to Asian communities across the globe and continually adapting our offerings to best support their distinctive travel requirements.”
