Air Canada is getting its summer off to an early start with 11 new international services

Air Canada got its summer off to an early start with the launch of two new international routes from Vancouver to Nagoya and Frankfurt, marking the beginning of the airline's summer season. In total, the airline plans to launch 11 new international non-stop routes this summer from Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal.

United Airlines announces non-stop service between Los Angeles and Singapore

United Airlines (UAL) announced that it will introduce daily nonstop flights between its Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) hub and Singapore's Changi Airport (SIN), effective October 27th, 2017 (westbound), subject to government approval. The flight between LAX and SIN will set the new distance record for any airline operating a flight to or from the United States, at 8,700 miles.

Emirates partners with BMW Group for its new fleet of Chauffeur-drive cars

Emirates has partnered with BMW Group to provide a fleet of luxury automobiles for its complimentary Chauffeur-drive service for Business Class passengers in the UAE. The new fleet, featuring BMW 520i Touring cars, are being rolled out progressively from now until the end of the year, as the previous fleet of cars are retired.

Lufthansa to expand Europe network: Six new Frankfurt destinations for the winter now fixed

Lufthansa will launch into the winter season with six new destinations in Europe from Frankfurt. Kuusamo (Finland), Cluj and Timișoara (both in Romania) will be offered from Frankfurt for the first time, supplementing the Lufthansa flight offer.

Qantas and Emirates: Changes to Sydney-Auckland route

Qantas will introduce twice-daily* Airbus A330 flights on the Sydney-Auckland route, as part of operational changes to the joint Qantas-Emirates network across the Tasman. From 13th July 2017, Emirates will suspend its daily EK418 and EK419 A380 flights between Sydney and Auckland, with those flights replaced by the Qantas A330 services.

Delta grows network between Boston, New York, Oregon and Europe

Delta has expanded its seasonal transatlantic network with the introduction of new daily nonstop service between Boston and Dublin, New York-JFK and Glasgow, as well as returning service from JFK to Berlin and Lisbon. Delta will also launch nonstop seasonal service between Portland, Oregon and London-Heathrow, which will operate four days a week.

Etihad Airways expands Boeing 787 network in Europe

Etihad Airways announced plans to boost its European Dreamliner network with the deployment of Boeing 787-9 aircraft to Amsterdam and Madrid. The 299-seat Dreamliners will be introduced on year-round scheduled services to Amsterdam from 1st September, and to Madrid, effective 1st October, joining Düsseldorf and Zurich as the airline’s other European Dreamliner services.

British Airways changes to the Executive Club

Free seat reservations on Basic fares From 14th June, British Airways (BA) are re-introducing free seat reservations for Bronze, Silver and Gold Members on a Basic (previously known as Hand Baggage Only) fare. Eurostar launches its new state-of-the-art e320 trains on the London-Brussels route

Eurostar, the high-speed rail service between the UK and mainland Europe, previewed its new e320 train on the London-Brussels route in advance of its introduction into service on Sunday 28th May. The arrival of the new trains on the Brussels service includes 17 new e320 trains and the refurbishment of its original trains.

Sydney Airport welcomes additional train services

Sydney Airport has welcomed the announcement by the NSW Minister for Transport and Infrastructure Andrew Constance that Transport for NSW will increase the frequency of trains on the T2 Airport Line from later this year. Minister Constance announced that the State Government will provide an additional 200 airport train services per week by the end of 2017.
