Finnair will offer non-stop flights to Lapland, Finland from London, Paris, Frankfurt and Zurich during the winter season 2017–2018. The flights will be operated from mid-December 2017 till the end of March 2018.

Emirates brings daily A380 service to Sao Paulo

Emirates announced that it will operate the first ever scheduled commercial Airbus A380 flight to South America when it upgrades its Dubai (DXB) – Sao Paulo (GRU) service on 26th March 2017. Replacing the existing Boeing 777-300ER used on this route, the A380 service will mark the airline’s 10th year of operations in Brazil, which it began with daily flights between Dubai and Sao Paulo in October 2007.

Qatar Airways prepares to land in Las Vegas

Qatar Airways has commenced its four times weekly non-stop service to Las Vegas, Nevada. The new route will be the airline’s 11th to the United States, connecting McCarran International Airport to Hamad International Airport in Doha, making Qatar Airways the first Gulf carrier to provide regular scheduled service to Las Vegas.

Emirates to launch daily flights to Croatia

Emirates announced that it will further expand its European network with the introduction of a daily flight from Dubai to Zagreb (ZAG), the capital of Croatia from 1st June 2017. The new southeast European destination will be served by an Emirates Boeing 777-300 aircraft, the only wide-body service operating to/from Zagreb.

British Airways proposed industrial action - 19th and 21st January

British Airways has advised that customers will be able to fly to their destinations on Thursday 19th, Friday 20th and Saturday 21st January despite the proposed industrial action. As part of British Airways' contingency plan, a very small number of flights to and from London Heathrow will be merged.

Singapore Airlines to boost Australia, Europe, Southeast Asia and West Asia services

Singapore Airlines will be increasing flight frequency to points in Australia, Europe, Southeast Asia and West Asia in the Northern Summer operating season (26th March 2017 to 28th October 2017) to meet growing travel demand. In Australia, Melbourne will be served with 31 weekly flights, an increase from 28, with effect from 17th July 2017, while flight frequency to Brisbane will increase to 28 per week, from 24, starting on 22nd August 2017.

Morocco to join Emirates A380 network

Emirates announced that it will operate the first ever commercial Airbus A380 flight to Morocco and North Africa, when it takes the iconic double decker aircraft to Casablanca on 26th March 2017.
