Delta, Virgin Australia strengthen trans-Pacific network with L.A.-Melbourne service

Delta and joint venture partner Virgin Australia celebrated the expansion of their trans-Pacific network with the launch of Virgin Australia’s direct service between Los Angeles and Melbourne. Virgin Australia now operates five weekly flights between Melbourne and Los Angeles using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, giving Delta customers direct access to Melbourne.

Emirates presents Microsoft Surface tablets loan service to US-bound First and Business Class customers

First and Business Class passengers will be able to borrow tablets on board Emirates’ US-bound flights allowing them to continue working during their flight. The new service is in response to the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) directive which requires all passengers travelling on non-stop flights to the US from Dubai to check-in their laptops, tablets, and other personal electronic devices larger than a smart phone.

Delta Comfort+ now offered on CRJ-200 aircraft

Delta is now selling Delta Comfort+ on CRJ-200 aircraft for flights scheduled on May 1st and beyond. Qantas transforms departure experience in Brisbane

Qantas introduces Netflix, Spotify and Foxtel on board

Qantas customers on Wi-Fi enabled domestic flights will be able to watch their favourite shows, avoid missing out on live sport and listen to almost any song they like, with Foxtel, Netflix and Spotify coming on board to provide content in 2017. With speeds up to 10 times faster than conventional inflight Wi-Fi, Qantas will offer customers video and audio streaming when the service is switched on its first domestic aircraft in late February this year.

Qantas launches new business loyalty programme

Flying for work and making everyday business purchases is about to get more rewarding for thousands of businesses, with Qantas launching a new loyalty program aimed at small to medium-sized firms. Members of the program, called Qantas Business Rewards, are likely to range from sole traders to people with several hundred employees.
