Air New Zealand takes off to Taipei

Air New Zealand has today announced it will start operating non-stop flights between Auckland and Taipei from November 2018. The airline will fly up to five times a week between Auckland and Taipei's Taoyuan International Airport from November, with NZ77 departing Auckland at 10:35am and arriving in Taipei at 4:50pm local time.

Qantas unveils menu to help reduce jetlag on long haul flights

Healthy poke bowls and a herbal tea designed especially for Qantas, are among the new dining choices on Qantas’ new 787 Dreamliner Perth to London menus to increase hydration and help reduce jetlag. The airline’s Creative Director of Food, Beverage & Service Neil Perry said the new menus combined research from the University of Sydney’s Charles Perkins Centre with inhouse experience of the Qantas and Rockpool teams to create dishes that encourage sleep at optimal times during the flight.

Time flies for British Airways customers as airline trials cutting edge biometric technology at four US airports  

British Airways is trialling biometric technology to speed up boarding and arrivals processes in Orlando, Los Angeles, Miami and New York. Cathay Dragon to launch new service to Jinan in March

The Cathay Pacific Group’s expansion across mainland China continues apace, with the announcement that Cathay Dragon will commence a new four-times-weekly service between Hong Kong and Jinan, the capital of Shandong province, from 26th March 2018. The new service, which will complement the airline’s existing flights to Qingdao, will be operated by the airline’s fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft in a two-class configuration.

Lufthansa automatic check-in for a relaxed start your journey

Lufthansa passengers will now be able to start their journey feeling more relaxed: From now on, they will benefit from an automatic check-in procedure for all flights within Germany and to destinations in Europe. The boarding pass for flights booked up to 24 hours before departure will then be sent automatically to the passenger 23 hours before departure – with no need for any manual check-in.
