Upcoming daylight saving time clock changes in Australia

Daylight saving time in parts of Australia starts on Sunday 1st October 2017 at 02:00 am, clocks are turned forward 1 hour to 03:00 am. Clocks will spring forward by 1 hour in the following areas only: Australian Capital Territory New South Wales South Australia Tasmania Victoria On Lord Howe Island, which is a part of New South Wales, clocks move forward 30 minutes instead of 1 hour.

Shangri-La Hotel, Xiamen opens as a new lifestyle getaway

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts announced the soft opening of the 325-room Shangri-La Hotel, Xiamen. Virgin Australia to fly daily between Melbourne and Hong Kong

Virgin Australia announced it will increase flights to Hong Kong, moving to daily return services between Melbourne and Hong Kong from 12th November 2017. From 12th November 2017, VA87 will depart Melbourne late morning/midday each day.

Emirates to launch fourth daily service to Sydney, Australia

Emirates is set to introduce a fourth daily service from Dubai to Sydney from 25th March 2018, complementing its existing three daily A380 services and improving connections globally. The new service will be operated by Emirates’ iconic A380 aircraft and will increase passenger capacity on the route by 6,846 seats a week, inbound and outbound between Sydney and Emirates’ hub in Dubai, and represents a 7.

United Airlines strengthens commitment to Houston with nonstop service between Houston and Sydney

United Airlines (UAL) reaffirmed its commitment to Houston with the announcement that it will begin daily, nonstop service between its Houston hub and Sydney on January 18th, 2018. The new flight will be the only nonstop service to Australia from Houston and offers customers from Houston as well as from hundreds of cities across the U.

Cathay Pacific to launch non-stop services to Brussels, Dublin and Copenhagen in summer 2018

Air Canada to launch new International Boeing 787 Dreamliner routes from Vancouver

Qantas announces new Melbourne domestic lounges

Air Canada introduces Montreal-Tokyo non-stop flights

Air Canada announced the introduction of a new service between Montreal and Tokyo Narita starting June 1st, 2018. Flights will operate year-round, with daily service during summer peak travel and three times a week during the winter, with Air Canada's flagship aircraft, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Air New Zealand to fly almost 60,000 extra seats on Honolulu route

Air New Zealand will fly almost 60,000 additional seats between Auckland and Honolulu from April to October next year, an increase of 75% compared with this year. The airline will operate an additional 94 return services during the period, moving to daily flights and up to nine services per week during the busy July school holiday period.

Qantas announces seasonal flights to Osaka as Japan travel booms

Qantas will launch new direct seasonal flights between Sydney and Osaka’s Kansai International Airport in response to the boom in travel between Australia and Japan. From 14th December 2017 until 24th March 2018, Qantas will operate three flights per week using its upgraded two-class Airbus A330 aircraft.

Hong Kong Airlines to launch direct flights to Los Angeles, USA
