Delta to launch nonstop year-round service from Indianapolis to Paris beginning May 2018

Delta, in cooperation with joint venture partner Air France KLM, will bring nonstop trans-Atlantic service from Indianapolis to its European hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle beginning 24th May 2018. Delta's onboard experience between Indianapolis and Paris will be on Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, equipped with 25 fully lie-flat seats in Delta One, 29 seats Delta Comfort+ and 171 seats in the Main Cabin.

United Airlines (UAL) announced new nonstop seasonal service to four popular European destinations including Reykjavik, Iceland, Porto, Portugal, Edinburgh, Scotland, and Zurich, Switzerland. Cathay Pacific to launch non-stop services to Brussels, Dublin and Copenhagen in summer 2018

Air Canada to launch new International Boeing 787 Dreamliner routes from Vancouver

Air Canada announced the strategic expansion of its international network from Vancouver with new services launching June 2018 to Paris and Zurich, and the start of year-round flights to Melbourne. All flights will be available for purchase starting September 6th.

Gatwick extends its transatlantic network to Toronto and Las Vegas

British Airways has announced it will be adding another two new transatlantic routes to its summer 2018 schedule at Gatwick. Toronto in Canada, will be taking to the air from 1st May, with three flights per week, and Las Vegas will be returning with three flights a week from 27th March next year.

Norwegian unveils new must-see sights in Denver and Seattle ahead of new route launches

Increased security at Helsinki Airport

The Finnish police have increased security at Helsinki airport and several train stations, after a man armed with a knife stabbed several people in the Puutori-Market Square area of Turku in the southwest of Finland. Customers in the region should monitor news reports and follow any advice given by the authorities.

American Airlines announces new flights to Europe

New service to Budapest and Prague and additional service to Venice available to book starting August 21st. American Airlines is giving its customers more access to Europe, with new summer service to Budapest (BUD) and Prague (PRG) from Philadelphia, and additional service to Venice (VCE) from Chicago, starting May 4th, 2018.

airberlin files for insolvency but continues flight operations

On 15th August, airberlin filed to commence insolvency proceedings under self-administration at the local District Court (Amtsgericht) of Berlin-Charlottenburg, in order to continue with the restructuring process that is already underway. The Federal German Government, Lufthansa and other partners are supporting airberlin in its restructuring efforts.

Air France continues to serve Chicago in the 2017 winter season

Throughout the 2017 winter season, Air France will continue to connect Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Chicago with five weekly flights. These flights will be operated by an Airbus A330 equipped with 208 seats including 40 in Business, 21 in Premium Economy and 147 in Economy.

Emirates ramps up services to Cairo

Emirates, will increase capacity on its services to Egypt from 29th October 2017, with the launch of four additional scheduled flights every week to Cairo. The four new flights will increase the number of frequencies between the two cities to three each day, and take the total number of weekly Emirates flights serving Cairo to 21.
