Delta Comfort+ now offered on CRJ-200 aircraft

Delta is now selling Delta Comfort+ on CRJ-200 aircraft for flights scheduled on May 1st and beyond. As part of Delta’s focus on improving choice for customers and enhancing the on-board customer experience, the airline will now offer Delta Comfort+ on nearly all single-cabin Delta Connection aircraft, in addition to its two-cabin aircraft.

Alitalia - Industrial Action 5th April 2017

Members of Italian trade unions Filt-Cgil, Fit-Cisl, Ugl-Ta, USB and CUB have confirmed 24-hour industrial action on 5th April 2017. To minimize disruptions, Alitalia has been forced to cancel several flights and modify its domestic and international flight schedule between late evening on the 4th April and the early morning of the 6th April.

Emirates introduces Laptop/Tablet handling service for US flights

Emirates customers traveling to the US via Dubai will be able to utilize their laptops and tablet devices on the first part of their journeys, and also during transit in Dubai. They must then declare and hand over their laptops, tablets, and other banned electronic devices to security staff at the gate just before boarding their US-bound flight.

Cathay Pacific and Lufthansa Group announce co-share agreement

Cathay Pacific signed a co-operation agreement with the Lufthansa Group that will see the airline codeshare on flights operated by Lufthansa, Swiss and Austrian Airlines to a number of destinations in continental Europe. Reciprocally, the Lufthansa Group will codeshare on Cathay Pacific services to four of the airline’s most popular destinations in Southwest Pacific.

United Airlines modernizes airport screening experience at Newark Liberty

United Airlines is enabling customers to move through the screening process quicker at its hub at Newark Liberty International Airport with the opening of a fully redesigned and consolidated security checkpoint in Terminal C. Etihad Airways to launch A380 flights to Paris

Etihad Airways is introducing its award-winning A380 on the Abu Dhabi – Paris route this summer. British Airways - Cashless payment at London Heathrow, Gatwick and North America airports

From 1st April 2017, British Airways (BA) will be unable to accept cash payments at many of the airports it operates from, such as London Heathrow, London Gatwick and in North America. This includes all types of payments, such as for extra bags, additional/exit row seats, changes to tickets, service charges, etc.

France ATC strikes 6th-10th March 2017

ABTA has advised that UNSA-ICNA, the third largest union for air traffic controllers in France, has called for 5 days of strike action from the 6th until the 10th March 2017. As a result of the proposed industrial action, it may be necessary for airlines to make adjustments to flights that are scheduled to operate to and from France during the strike hours.

British Airways launches flights to Milan from two London airports

British Airways is launching new year-round services to Milan, Italy from two London airports in April. The new routes to Milan’s Linate Airport will start from London City Airport on 24th April and from Stansted Airport on 29th April.
