Frankfurt Airport opens roof terrace at Terminal 1

Frankfurt airport has opened a new outside roof terrace within the transit zone at Terminal 1. Dubbed the “Open Air Deck”, the 138 sqm space is open daily between 0500 and 2300, for all non-Schengen passengers.

Atlanta remains the world's busiest airport

Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson (ATL), the hub of Delta Air Lines, remains the world’s busiest for passenger traffic, according to new preliminary figures from Airports Council International (ACI). It takes the title of the world's busiest as the city is within a two-hour flight of 80% of the United States population of more than 300 million people.

British Airways drops Gatwick to Oakland route

British Airways (BA) has confirmed plans to drop the flight route from Gatwick to Oakland International for this winter. BA launched this route back in March 2017 from the San Francisco Bay Area Airport, and have been competing with Norwegian on the route.

Lufthansa launches flights from Munich

Lufthansa has launched A380 operations from its Munich hub, with superjumbo flights to Los Angeles, Beijing and Hong Kong. As reported last year, the German carrier has shifted five of its 509-seater A380s from to Munich, leaving nine superjumbos at Frankfurt.

Delta drives improved reliability with real-time bag tracking at London Heathrow

Delta’s focus on innovation has moved up a gear with the roll out of a new industry-leading service which allows customers to keep track of their checked bags on its flights between London Heathrow to the United States via their mobile phones.
