Air Canada to Launch daily non-stop Montreal-London, Ontario & Montreal-Windsor, Ontario flights

Air Canada announced it will begin new domestic regional non-stop flights on 2nd July 2018. The only year-round service between Montreal-London and Montreal-Windsor will provide services that meets the needs of both local and connecting passengers.

Qantas orders six more Dreamliners

Qantas has announced an order for six additional Boeing 787-9s to fly on its international network, bringing its fleet of Dreamliners to 14 by the end of 2020. The arrival of the new aircraft will enable the airline to accelerate retirement of its last six Boeing 747s – an aircraft type that has been in its fleet in various forms since 1971.

United opens Polaris lounge at San Francisco International Airport

United has opened it's second Polaris Lounge, located in the international terminal at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Customers traveling in United Polaris, United’s premium cabin travel experience, will be able to relax and dine prior to their travels or refresh upon arrival in the lounge at SFO conveniently located in the International Terminal near Gate G92.

Virgin Atlantic has launched three new ways to fly economy as part of a multi-million pound investment in the cabin for the 21st century traveller. British Airways' Gatwick to Toronto route set to take off

British Airways’ direct flight from Gatwick to Toronto will launch next week, with the service beginning on 1st May. The new flight, which will operate three times a week, will be British Airways’ first flight to Canada from Gatwick.

United Airlines takes delivery of the fuel efficient 737 MAX 9

United Airlines announced that it has taken delivery of it's first 737 MAX 9 aircraft from the Boeing Delivery Center in Seattle, WA. The new aircraft, which arrived right after Earth Day, reduces fuel use and CO2 emissions significantly compared with older generation aircraft.

Qantas International Network Update

Qantas is making several adjustments across its international network in response to demand and to better utilise its fleet. From 3rd December 2018, Qantas’ last remaining Boeing 747 services operating into Los Angeles will be replaced by a combination of Airbus A380 and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircrafts.

Singapore Airlines' flight information now available on Google Home

Singapore Airlines’ customers can now enjoy fast and easy access to flight information from the comfort of their home, with just a voice command. The Airline is the first carrier in South East Asia to provide such flight information via Google Home, which was launched in Singapore recently.

Frankfurt Airport opens roof terrace at Terminal 1

Frankfurt airport has opened a new outside roof terrace within the transit zone at Terminal 1. Dubbed the “Open Air Deck”, the 138 sqm space is open daily between 0500 and 2300, for all non-Schengen passengers.

Delta to add more flights between New York and the Caribbean

Delta Airlines is expanding access between New York-JFK and the Caribbean with a second daily flight to Nassau, The Bahamas, beginning 1st October 2018; new daily service to Kingston, Jamaica, effective 20th December 2018; and new Saturday-only service to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, beginning 22nd December 2018. This winter, Delta will operate up to 145 flights per week to 16 Caribbean destinations from JFK.
