Norwegian introduces temperature search to find your ideal destination

Norwegian launches a brand-new feature on its website that allows customers to find their next destination based on their preferred temperature – a first by a low-cost airline in the UK. Holidaymakers now have another simple way to choose from more than 40 destinations served by Norwegian from the UK by selecting a temperature range on its new route map to filter destinations.

Finnair opens a new year-round route to Hanover for summer 2019 and increases capacity to Dubai for winter 2018-2019

Continuing with its growth in the German market, Finnair will be launching a new route to Hanover, Germany, next summer. The new route will start on 29th April with five weekly frequencies and will become a daily and year-round frequency as of 1st June 2019.

Qantas and Air France renew partnership to offer customers more travel options between Australia and France

Qantas and Air France customers will now have more options to travel between Europe and Australia via Asia following a renewed codeshare agreement between the two carriers. Available for booking from 5th June for travel from 20th July 2018, Air France will add its code to Qantas flights between Hong Kong and Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and between Singapore and Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

SilkAir to undergo major cabin product upgrade and be merged into SIA

Singapore Airlines’ (SIA) regional wing, SilkAir, is to undergo a significant investment programme to upgrade its cabin products as part of a multi-year initiative that will ultimately see it merged into SIA. The programme will comprise investment of more than $100 million to upgrade the wholly owned subsidiary’s cabins with new lie-flat seats in Business Class, and the installation of seat-back in-flight entertainment systems in both Business Class and Economy Class.

New non-stop Delta service between Orange County, California, and New York-JFK this October

As of summer 2018, Lufthansa Group passengers will be able to book a so-called Economy “Light” fare on routes to North America served by Lufthansa, SWISS, Brussels Airlines and Austrian Airlines. As the basic rate, the new fare is the least expensive option for price-conscious passengers only travelling with carry-on luggage and who do not require any ticket flexibility.

Air New Zealand announces additional jet services between Dunedin and Auckland

Air New Zealand will operate five additional return A320 services between Dunedin and Auckland per week from October, adding around 70,000 seats annually to the route and upping seat capacity by close to 25 percent.
