Strike to cause disruption at German airports

The German union Verdi has called for a warning strike by ground handling staff for today, 16th February 2017. All departures from Berlin-Tegel Airport (TXL) and Berlin-Schönefeld Airport (SXF) today between 4pm and 8.

British Airways industrial action

All British Airways customers will be able to fly to their destinations between Friday, 17th and Monday, 20th February 2017 despite 4 days of proposed industrial action by Mixed Fleet Unite. As part of BA's contingency plan, a very small number of flights to and from London Heathrow Airport will be merged.

Qatar Airways launches world’s longest flight on new Auckland service

Qatar Airways launched its new record-breaking Auckland service with the world’s longest commercial flight, which takes 17 hours and 30 minutes and covers a distance of 14,535 kilometres. Auckland is the first city in New Zealand to be served by Qatar Airways and will provide a gateway for travellers to visit the stunning country, which is famous for its spectacular coastlines and lush forest landscapes.

More than 20 new routes for Air France and KLM

Qantas launches new business loyalty programme

British Airways new routes & increased frequency

From May 2017, British Airways will begin summer-only direct flights from Manchester to Alicante, Malaga, Ibiza, Palma, Mykonos, Nice and a weekly service to London City Airport. In addition, British Airways will launch new flights from London Stansted (STN) to Florence, Geneva and Nice, as well as increase the frequency on existing routes to Ibiza and Palma.

Etihad Airways to increase Maldives frequency
