Changes to UK Aviation security

Governments aviation security measures that were introduced all inbound direct flights to the UK from the following countries: Egypt, Jordan Lebanon Saudi Arabia Tunisia, Turkey Restrictions on carrying large phones, laptops and tablets in the cabin have been lifted on all UK bound flights from the following airports: Antalya (Turkey) Bodrum (Turkey) Cairo (Egypt) Dalaman (Turkey) Hurghada (Egypt) Istanbul Atatürk (Turkey) Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen (Turkey) Izmir (Turkey) Luxor (Egypt) Marsa Alam (Egypt) Tunis-Carthage International (Tunisia) Passengers on flights where restrictions have been lifted will now be able to take large phones, laptops, tablets and accessories into the cabin with them. Restrictions have also been lifted on a number of individual airlines operating from other airports.

Norwegian continues expansion in Ireland with first route to Canada

Emirates touches down in Auckland via Bali

Emirates has launched a new daily service from Dubai to Auckland via Bali, reflecting increased interest in the attractive Indonesian island destination and improving connectivity to New Zealand. The new service offers global travellers a total of three daily services to New Zealand, complementing Emirates’ existing non-stop daily A380 service between Dubai and Auckland and its current daily A380 service between Dubai and Christchurch via Sydney.

Ryanair's Online Check-in Policy changes

Online check-in (for those customers who don’t choose reserved seats) will be available from 48 hours to 2 hours pre-departure for all flights from Wednesday, 13th June. This is double the 24 hour check-in period operated by Aer Lingus, British Airways, Lufthansa, Norwegian and Iberia.

British Airways launch almost 200,000 summer seats from UK airports

British Airways begins one of its busiest summers ever in the UK regions with the launch of new routes and additional flights from five regional airports. The addition of two new Embraer 190 jets to the growing aircraft fleet means that almost 200,000 seats will be on sale to some of the most popular business and leisure destinations in Europe and the UK, an increase of 26 per cent compared to last year.

Emirates to launch a daily service to Edinburgh

Emirates announced it will start a daily service between Scotland’s capital city, Edinburgh, and Dubai, from 1st October 2018. Edinburgh will become Emirates’ second destination in Scotland after Glasgow and its 8th in the United Kingdom after the airline starts its daily service to London Stansted in June.

British Airways' Gatwick to Toronto route set to take off

British Airways’ direct flight from Gatwick to Toronto will launch next week, with the service beginning on 1st May. The new flight, which will operate three times a week, will be British Airways’ first flight to Canada from Gatwick.
