The What  

As an Account Executive you will have a diverse and varied role. Here are just some of the things you’ll be getting involved with:  

  • Support and be accountable for a portfolio of small corporate client accounts, including  delivering all account management activities in line with TAG standards
  • Proactively support Account Managers in delivering the department objectives, technology adoption, continuous department improvement and excellent customer relationships
  • Assist with implementations, reporting requests, client queries and general client activity
  • Work with team colleagues to increase customer satisfaction levels across the business as measured through regular customer satisfaction surveys with an objective of increasing the UK Corporate NPS
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, maintaining accurate records in Salesforce to ensure correct processes are followed for securing new business
  • Communicate with internal departments to streamline processes with the ultimate objectives of improving the customer experience and internal productivity
  • Identify business risks and ensure these are escalated within TAG, logged in Salesforce and proactively supported through to resolution
  • Build and develop multi-level relationships with customers and proactively reviewing UK client base, potential risks or gaps and bringing relevant senior TAG colleagues into meetings
  • Proactively look for business development opportunities with UK clients through referrals, consolidation, working with overseas account managers and new business
  • Perform other duties as assigned

As a Account Executive there are several credentials and attributes which would be advantageous, but a determined attitude and willingness to learn, are equally important. 

  • Education to Degree level or higher, or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
  • Experience of working in Corporate Travel and an understanding of the TMC service
  • Account Management experience
  • Working knowledge of Excel and reporting provisions
  • Collaborative team-player with the willingness to support departmental activities
  • Problem solver with a calm and considered approach under pressure
  • Flexibility and willingness to work within changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain a strong working relationship with colleagues, clients and suppliers
  • Consistent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • An appetite to learn, develop and progress
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

The Where and When 

This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) based in our Manchester office. Since March 2020, we have operated a flexible, hybrid approach to working and will continue to do this moving forward. We will work with you to find the best mix of office and home working that suits your life and the needs of the team.  

You will report into the Account Manager Supervisor, who is also based in Manchester. There are other regional teams based in the US and APAC that you may work closely with, too.
