The What  

As a Senior Travel Executive, you will have a diverse and varied role. Here are just some of the things you’ll be getting involved with:

  • Manage all incoming client travel requests, analysing the enquiry to determine best options to offer
  • Anticipate and understand individual client preferences and needs
  • Formulate logistical itinerary plans to provide practical travel solutions that meet specified budgets and requirements
  • Handle air, rail, hotel and ancillary reservations to company and client expectations
  • Deliver an enhanced service and top-quality documentation for all VIP enquiries and bookings
  • Report, investigate and resolve errors and/or client complaints adhering to the highest standards of customer service
  • Process accurate complex reissues and pricing records
  • Manage Quality Control (QC) procedures and tasks
  • Complete all TAG desktop files, PNRs and Galileo entries correctly and efficiently
  • Negotiate best rates and deals from vendors to reduce client expenditure. Assess all potential revenue
  • and income streams for maximum company profitability
  • Ensure the company does not incur financial loss through individual and avoidable error
  • Organise and action Outlook inboxes, TAG desktop tasks and GDS queries
  • Process all required administrative tasks and company, client or supplier processes in a timely manner, ensuring information is accurate and readily available for continuity of service by other team members
  • Work in conjunction with the Finance department to assess client credit levels (if applicable) and for accounting queries/receipt of payments to reach final reconciliation
  • Log all client and supplier favours or gifts accordingly
  • Adhere to PCI regulations in accordance with regulatory and Company policy
  • Adopt a mentoring role for non-Senior Travel Executives
  • Liaise with Account Management to enhance the TAG/client relationship
  • Carry out the tasks of a Senior Account Manager on an ad-hoc basis as required
  • Demonstrate professionalism, promote positive working relationships, deliver quality service levels, comply with relevant policies and procedures, maintain high standards of performance and conduct
  • Attend office-based supplier sessions, and approved off-site functions, client meetings and networking events (including new business opportunities with virtual or in-person presentations) to positively impact TAG’s relationship with suppliers and existing or potential customers
  • Nurture positive and valuable relationships with key vendors relevant to TAG’s client base and support the PSP program
  • Help win accounts and retain repeat business/contracts/agreements. Share any new business opportunity with the Commercial team
  • Suggest improved practices to streamline processes with the aim of ensuring operations run smoothly and successfully and productivity is maximised
  • Maintain thorough knowledge, awareness and understanding of all aspects of travel management to build on expertise and drive constant improvement
  • Promptly escalate any issues to appropriate management and bring any significant concerns to the immediate attention of the TAG KSA General Manager
  • Complete any other general Corporate related tasks as required
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time

As a Senior Travel Executive there are several credentials and attributes which would be advantageous, but a determined attitude and willingness to learn, are equally important.

Required

  • In lieu of education, equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience within a travel or airline company
  • Comprehensive travel management of Corporate client accounts
  • Previous experience of servicing VIP Corporate clients
  • Strong understanding of Corporate travel policies
  • Advanced GDS user (Galileo preferred)
  • Proven track record of managing all types of travel requirements, including air tickets, charter flights, hotels, land arrangements, events, group bookings
  • Transferable KSA Residence Permit

Preferred

  • Educated to degree level or higher
  • IATA Certificate in Travel & Tourism

The Where and When 

This is a full-time role based in our Riyadh (KSA) office. You will report into the General Manager TAG KSA, who is based in Riyadh.
