The What  

As a Travel Executive you will have a diverse and varied role. Here are just some of the things you’ll be getting involved with:  

  • Manage touring client travel requirements while anticipating and understanding individual client preferences and needs
  • Analyze all enquiries and requests received from clients and decide on best options to offer
  • Formulate logistical itinerary plans to deliver practical travel solutions, ensuring that budgets and specific requirements are met
  • Fully service all enquiries, requests, bookings and ticketing with the highest standards and quality documentation; ensure all air, rail, hotel and/or other ancillary reservations meet company and client expectations
  • Report, investigate, and resolve errors or/and client complaints adhering to the highest standards of customer service
  • Ensure the company does not incur any financial losses through individual and avoidable error
  • Negotiate the best rates and deals from vendors to reduce client expenditure. Assess all potential revenue and income streams for maximum company profitability
  • Process any administrative tasks including accounting queries from both the client and Finance department through to final reconciliation. Assess client credit levels, if applicable, and work in conjunction with the Finance department to ensure payments are received
  • Complete all TAG desktop files and respond to all communications proactively, promptly, efficiently and accurately
  • Ensure all PNRs in GDS are correct and fully completed
  • Action all required tasks and client and/or supplier processes in a timely and effective manner to ensure correct information is readily available for continuity of service for all team members
  • Log all client and supplier favors accordingly
  • Create and update movement and flight sheets and ensure all Touring procedures are followed consistently
  • Ensure proactivity and organization of Outlook inbox, TAG desktop tasks and GDS queries.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of all aspects of Touring
  • Adhere to PCI regulations in accordance with Company policy

As a Travel Executive there are several credentials and attributes which would be advantageous, but a determined attitude and willingness to learn, are equally important. 

  • Bilingual in English/Korean required
  • BS or BA degree preferred or in lieu of education credentials, equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience within a travel agency required
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of airfares, contracted fares, ticketing and reissues required
  • GDS experience required
  • Versed in booking flights, hotels and good understanding of published airfares required
  • Experience handling VIP and touring clients, and/or group travel preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Well established organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness
  • Excellent customer service and negotiation skills
  • Proactive and self-starter
  • Problem-solving and multi-tasking skills with ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and think outside of the box
  • Strong knowledge & understanding of fares, negotiated contracted fares, ticketing and reissue
  • Excellent customer service skills internally and externally

The Where and When 

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) based in our Los Angeles office. Since March 2020, we have operated a flexible, hybrid approach to working and will continue to do this moving forward. We will work with you to find the best mix of office and home working that suits your life and the needs of the team. Remote applicants are encouraged to apply! 

You will report into the Team Lead, who is based in Los Angeles. There are other regional teams based in Singapore, UK and Australia that you may work closely with, too.
