Emirates touches down in Auckland via Bali

Emirates has launched a new daily service from Dubai to Auckland via Bali, reflecting increased interest in the attractive Indonesian island destination and improving connectivity to New Zealand. The new service offers global travellers a total of three daily services to New Zealand, complementing Emirates’ existing non-stop daily A380 service between Dubai and Auckland and its current daily A380 service between Dubai and Christchurch via Sydney.

Qantas adds more flights to Asia-Pacific routes

Qantas is making adjustments to parts of its Asia-Pacific network. From December 2018, Qantas will operate additional Airbus A330 services on the Sydney-Singapore and Sydney-Jakarta routes to meet the increase in demand.

Virgin Australia to expand its presence in Greater China under new codeshare with Hainan Airlines

Virgin Australia and Hainan Airlines have announced a new codeshare agreement that will create a streamlined travel experience for guests flying between Australia and mainland China. Under this new agreement, the codeshare will enable: Guests travelling from China to access an expanded network of Virgin Australia domestic connections within Australia and across the trans-Tasman, including Cairns, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide, Perth and Auckland Velocity Frequent Flyer members to earn Velocity Points and Status Credits and Fortune Wings Club members to earn Points and Status Qualifying Points when flying with either airline under the codeshare Guests to book all flights, including connecting flights, under the one booking, with a single baggage drop where permitted In addition to the codeshare, eligible guests under both frequent flyer programs will be afforded with additional customer benefits when travelling on all Hong Kong Airlines operated flights (excluding to and from North America), and on international services between Australia, New Zealand and Greater China.

Qantas and Air New Zealand announce Codeshare deal to make travel easier

Air New Zealand and Qantas have announced plans for a reciprocal codeshare agreement that leverages the strengths of each carrier’s domestic networks, making travel within Australia and New Zealand easier. Under the codeshare Qantas intends to add its code on up to 30 routes on Air New Zealand’s domestic network and Air New Zealand intends to add its code on up to 85 routes on Qantas’ domestic network.

Air New Zealand boosts business flights to and from Palmy

Air New Zealand will operate an additional 12 one-way business timed services per week between Palmerston North and Auckland from mid-August. The new service will depart Auckland for Palmerston North at 5:50pm Sunday-Friday, with a return service from Palmerston North to Auckland departing at 7:25am Monday-Saturday.

Qantas and Air France renew partnership to offer customers more travel options between Australia and France

Qantas and Air France customers will now have more options to travel between Europe and Australia via Asia following a renewed codeshare agreement between the two carriers. Available for booking from 5th June for travel from 20th July 2018, Air France will add its code to Qantas flights between Hong Kong and Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and between Singapore and Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
